Ghana Re Head Office operations are structured along two (2) major lines:
TECHNICAL
Domestic Operations
This section handles the general reinsurance needs of the local insurance companies.
International Operations
The International Operations Department's main function is to underwrite general inward businesses emanating from outside Ghana. This department has two main divisions (i.e. Anglophone and Francophone) to enable it handle the respective foreign businesses appropriately.
Life
The Life Department underwrites all Life, Pensions and Health/Medical Insurance businesses on the local and international market.
NON-TECHNICAL
Human Resource –
Administration
This Department is responsible for development and implementation of polices for the management of company’s assets, public relations functions and procurement.
Finance
The Finance Department is responsible for developing and implementing policies for the planning and control of the Company's finances.
Information Technology
The IT Department is responsible for the total ICT Solutions of the company.
Audit
The Audit Department is responsible for the evaluation and the improvement of the effectiveness of the company's risk management, control, and governance process
Actuarial
The actuarial department evaluates the technical provisions of Ghana Re and assists with the monitoring and reporting of key risks in the company.
Risk Management –
Company Secretary
Responsible for the Board Secretariat and in charge of legal and compliance.
