Mr. Mohamed Benhamida

Mohamed Benhamida is a distinguished reinsurance and IT systems expert with over 25 years of experience across North Africa and the Middle East. He currently serves as Regional Director for Ghana Reinsurance Casablanca Office, where he oversees regional operations and contributes to business development and strategic alignment in Francophone markets.

Mohamed brings a rare blend of IT, finance and reinsurance expertise. He began his career in mathematics and physics before transitioning into IT and later reinsurance.

Mohamed’s academic qualifications include an Advanced Certificate in Insurance (ACII), a Diploma in Administrative and Financial Management (DPECF) and advanced studies in computer science. Mohamed also holds a 1^st  Cycle Degree in Mathematics and Physics.

His professional journey includes senior leadership roles at Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR), where he served as Director of Operations & Head of the Retrocession Department. He also worked at Arab Insurance Group (ARIG) in Bahrain, where he was a Senior Manager leading reinsurance systems transformation. He co-founded Easy Way Systems, where he developed RAMSys – a reinsurance management platform tailored for African and Middle Eastern insurers.

Mohamed is widely regarded for his strategic vision, technical proficiency, and cross-cultural business acumen. Fluent in Arabic and French and proficient in English, he brings a multilingual and multicultural perspective to every initiative.
