Theme: The Evolving Landscape of Engineering Insurance: The Reinsurance Perspective”.
The flagship program brought together industry practitioners from Africa & the Middle East. The seminar witnessed a massive turnout of over 60 participants with representation from countries such as Liberia, Sudan, Togo, Nigeria, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Kenya, La Cote D’Ivoire, Cameroun, Jordan and UAE and Ghana.
The 5-day seminar was very insightful with a detailed exploration of the theme by Mr. Jonathan K. Kwakye (Head, International Operations, Anglophone) and Mr. Augustine J. Quainoo (Domestic Operations), both staff of Ghana Re Plc. who executed their tasks exceptionally.
Additionally, the seminar featured a panel discussion on the topic, “Engineering Insurance and AI” by Fiifi Amoa Oppong (Olea M&G), Clement Addai-Baffour (Enterprise Insurance), Mr. Mahmoud Al-Khabit (Apex Insurance), Mr. Kwasi Ofori-Kuragu (Donewell Insurance), Mr. Omuroka Amani Hassan (Ghana Re Plc, Kenya), and Ms. Shamimah Ahmed (Glico Insurance), moderated by Dr. Kwaku Appietu-Ankrah.
The seminar was laced with networking activities such as games/movie night, a canopy walk, and a tour to Mount Gemi in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The curtains were brought down with a closing dinner on Friday, 22nd February 2025 with brief remarks by the Ag. Md, Ghana Re Plc (Mr. Seth Kobla Aklasi). Participants were excited and danced their way into the night with laughter and music.
