Kwame A. Nkansah-Abankwah is a risk management and actuarial expert with proven experience in claims management, IFRS 17 implementation, and strategic analysis. He holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Coast and a Diploma in Insurance from the West African Insurance Institute in The Gambia.
Kwame is a Certified Quantitative Risk Manager (CQRM) and a Chartered Insurer (ACII). He is affiliated with the International Institute of Professional Education and Research (IIPER), the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK), and the Actuarial Society of Ghana.
At Ghana Reinsurance PLC, Kwame leads enterprise-wide risk initiatives, promoting risk-conscious decision-making and ensuring regulatory compliance. He previously worked at Hollard Ghana Holdings as Executive Assistant for Actuarial & Enterprise Risk, where he managed business strategy execution, risk identification, actuarial evaluations, and financial planning.
His interests include tourism, football, and community development initiatives.
