Akosua Baah-Frimpong is a dual-qualified legal and insurance professional with extensive experience in governance, compliance, and reinsurance underwriting. She holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Kent, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the UK’s College of Law, and an MSc in Insurance and Risk Management from Bayes Business School, University of London. She is called to the Bar in both Ghana and England & Wales.
A Chartered Insurer and practicing lawyer, Akosua is a member of the Ghana Bar Association, Law Society UK, and the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK and Ghana). At Ghana Reinsurance PLC, she serves as Company Secretary and Head of Legal & Compliance, where she supports corporate governance, ensures legal compliance, and advises the Board of Directors.
Her prior roles include Assistant Company Secretary and Domestic Operations Underwriter at Ghana Re, as well as legal work in the UK with firms like Ankamah Gunn & Co and Corbin & Hassan Solicitors. She also completed an insurance work study at AON Energy in London.
Akosua’s interests include reading, travelling, and cooking.
